Shipping/Delivery Info




We offer free delivery anywhere within the area of 50th-60th street and from the East River to 5th Avenue (Zip code 10022). There is a $25 minimum pre-tax. If you have any special delivery requirements, feel free to specify them in the notes section when checking out and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.




Free Delivery over $199: We offer free delivery for orders over $199 (pre-tax) between 110th st and South Ferry/Battery Park Place. Deliveries will typically be sent out the same day for orders placed before 12pm or the following business day for orders placed after 12pm.


$15.95-$19.95 Delivery charge for orders under $199: If the order is under $199 (pre-tax), there is a $15.95 delivery charge for delivery’s outside of our local delivery area if under West 115th st or East 116th st and above Greenwich Ave or East Houston St. There is a delivery fee of $19.95 for orders under $199 below East Houston St or above 115th street.


FedEx Shipping: We can also ship the items to you via FedEx which typically arrive the following business day and standard FedEx shipping charges will apply.

We offer free shipping for orders over $199 to anywhere in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Orders under $199 will incur standard FedEx shipping charges applied at checkout. 2-day and overnight shipping options are also offered at standard shipping rates.




In compliance with local laws we cannot ship alcoholic beverages to the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah.


We can ship wine to all other states. We are prohibited from shipping spirits anywhere outside of New York State. We do not ship internationally.




Unopened spirits may be returned for a full refund.


All sales are final on wines and they may NOT be returned for a refund, credit or exchange.


However, defective wines and spirits may be exchanged for items of equal or greater value. (Subject to the restrictions below.)


If You Bought Too Much

To make event planning easier, Dante’s Cellar accepts returns on unopened bottles of spirits. If you have spirits left over after an event, you may return them, along with your original sales receipt, for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.


We believe that proper storage is crucial to the quality of wines and spirits, and since we cannot control how items are stored after they leave our store, we do not issue refunds, credits or exchanges for wines or spirits.


If You Bought a Defective Item

Dante’s Cellar stands behind all the wines and spirits we sell.If you open a bottle and find that it is defective, we will gladly exchange it for a bottle of equal or greater value. The exchange value is based upon what you paid for the defective item, NOT the item’s price the day you return it. If you exchange an item for one of greater value, you will be asked to provide the retail price difference, along with any applicable taxes, at the time of the exchange. We do not issue store credit.


Since we cannot control how bottles are stored once they leave our possession, we will only accept bottles for exchange within 30 days of purchase. Items to be returned are subject to evaluation by our staff, and must be accompanied by your original sales receipt.


How to Return Items

Bring your items back to Dante’s Cellar Wines & Spirits within 30 days of purchase, along with your original sales receipt. If your items were shipped or delivered, please call us at (212) 369-5656 to discuss your options.


How We Issue Refunds and Exchanges

Defective items may be exchanged for items of equal or greater value. Refunds on returned spirits will be issued in the original form of payment.
